Unfortunately, I know no more about this dam line than I learned from researching the names of the horses in order to create the progency charts and associated tables. I hope that one or more fillies will be born to allow this dam line to continue. Hopefully someone who is more knowledgeable than I will share his/her knowledge of this strain/dam line at some point in the future. Until then, I hope that the research presented on these pages has helped you to learn about this dam line, strain, and Al Khamsa horses.
Update 10/2009: I hate making mistakes, I REALLY hate making mistakes. But when someone (Edie Booth) finds a mistake that I've made, I'm actually glad when a mistake is identified. In this particular case, Edie found that I had missed researching two mares. The Halwaaji dam line is firmly in the 'rare' classification! This does not mean that everyone who has a Halwaaji dam line mare should start breeding to produce half Arabians, but it does mean that the fate of the dam line is not hanging on the health of a few mares.
Update 12/2008: Although this dam line is clearly in danger, there are a very few young mares of this dam line. If breeders can be found with an interest in preserving this dam line, there are enough mares to make this goal possible. Best of luck to the current breeders.
