Hamdani Simri/*Samirah dam line
Unfortunately, I know no more about this dam line than I learned from researching the names of the horses in order to create the progency chart and associated tables. Hopefully someone who is more knowledgeable than I will share his/her knowledge of this strain/dam line at some point in the future. Until then, I hope that the research presented on these pages has helped you to learn about this dam line, strain, and Al Khamsa horses.
Update 10/2009: It has been less than a year since the last update, but there is exciting news! In that short period of time, a filly born in 2008 was registered! At one time, I thought that researching this line was a waste of time since it was 'obvious' that the dam line was doomed to extinction. I could barely contain my excitement when I saw the new filly, but then..... I saw that she was not recognized as Al Khamsa. I nearly crawled through the internet lines to strangle the person who had done something so phenominally STUPID. But I wanted to make sure. So I checked the sire and he is recognized as Al Khamsa! Evidently the datasource has not been updated because this darling little girl (Samirahs Adlayah) has two Al Khamsa parents! Best of luck to the owners and breeders of this dam line!
Update 1/2009: When I originally researched this line, I thought that this dam line was destined to be lost. Most horses weren't even blood typed and no new foals had been born since 1998. But within the last years, not one, but TWO mares have had their registrations transferred to a possible breeding situation. Best of luck to their new owner and hopes for a new filly to born in this dam line!
