Unfortunately, I know no more about this dam line than I learned from researching the names of the horses in order to create the progency chart and associated tables. Hopefully someone who is more knowledgeable than I will share his/her knowledge of this strain/dam line at some point in the future. Until then, I hope that the research presented on these pages has helped you to learn about this dam line, strain, and Al Khamsa horses.
Update 10/2009: This update is a bit discouraging because the only changes were removing horses. For a number of reasons, this dam line is not as strong as the numbers would indicate. However, with the poor economy, there is hope that more of these mares will be bred as the economy improves.
Update 1/2009: This dam line is one that I was originally told was endangered - only a few mares left. Research showed the future of this dam line was a bit more promising than 'nearly gone', but it showed some additional infomation as well. There are two main branches of this dam line: Serenity Kamila and Cedardell Tiffany. Both branches are still being bred and are well represented (as well as can be expected in a rare dam line). The rule of thumb for identitifying individual dam lines is that the split must have occurred more than 50 years ago. The Nafa'a dam line still has a few years before it will be split into the individual branches. Until then, it is hoped that the Nafa'a dam line will continue to grow.
